Widnailande was a cute little 5 year old when she started in the BGM Sponsorship program. She is now thirteen years old and has successfully made it to the sixth grade! Unfortunately, Widnailande recently lost her sponsorship and her ability to continue in school is in danger.
Widnailande lives with her mama, cousins, and aunts and uncles in the village of Galette Chambon. Her daddy died in a car accident when she was three and her mother has struggled to make ends meet ever since. Both she and her mama live with her grandmother. Her mama is a vendor selling cookies and candies at the local market in the village of Galette Chambon but sometimes she also helps her mother in the gardens. Her mother has tried to help her go to school in the past, but it was very hard for her because her little income is not even reasonable to help provide food for the family. Her mother has five sisters and two brothers who all live with their grandmother.
Widnailande loves school, and it would be tragic if she had to drop out, but without a sponsor, it just will not be possible for her mother to afford her tuition. Her favorite subject is French and when she grows up she wants to be a nurse.
