Viviane is a shy eleven year old from Galette Chambon who lives with her mother, father, four brothers, and two sisters. They do not have a very good source of income to help pay for their children’s school, but they are thankful that their children have been able to be sponsored in the past. When the village became very dangerous due to gang activity, Viviane’s family fled for their lives into the mountains and Viviane had to leave school. The family has now been able to return to their home in the village and Viviane is back in school. They have been praying that soon Viviane would find a sponsor too so they don’t have to worry about how they are going to send their children to school. Viviane is excited about the opportunity to get a sponsor again, but she cannot attend school in the fall if she doesn’t get a new sponsor.
