Djoubensley is a bright and hardworking 12-year-old boy who lives in the village of Galette Chambon with his mother, sister, and three brothers. He is entering the fifth grade this year and loves to study—especially French.
His mother works very hard as a cook in the village, waking up early each morning to prepare rice, beans, and vegetables to sell in the town square. Despite her efforts, times have been difficult, and many people in the community can no longer afford to buy meals. It has become a struggle for her to provide for her children and keep them in school.
A sponsorship for Djoubensley would allow him to continue his education instead of having to leave school to work on a farm.
