LOUBENDIA is a dedicated 17-year-old student currently in the NS3 class (12th grade) at BGM High School. With one final year remaining—known as Philo—she is approaching a critical stage in her education. This final year is an intense period of study that prepares students for college or opens doors to meaningful work opportunities.
Loubendia lives with her parents, four sisters, and one brother. As vendors in their community, her parents work hard to provide for their large family, but increasing costs and declining sales have made it difficult to meet their daily needs. While they have managed to pay Loubendia’s school fees in the past, the financial strain has grown significantly as more of their children attend school and expenses continue to rise.
Despite these challenges, Loubendia is a hardworking and determined young woman. In her spare time, she helps her parents with their work, cares for responsibilities at home, and looks for ways to earn extra money by washing clothes or babysitting for others in the village. However, as her studies become more demanding, she has less time to contribute financially and must focus on her education.
Loubendia’s favorite subject is Spanish, and she dreams of becoming a teacher. Inspired by graduates from her school who now teach in local classrooms, she hopes to one day give back to her community by helping educate the next generation.
