EDWENS is a hardworking and determined 16-year-old student currently completing his final year of sixth grade at BGM Primary School. He lives in the rural village of Galette Chambon with his parents, five sisters, and two brothers. Coming from a large family, Edwens understands the value of responsibility and contributes whenever he can. His mother serves as a dedicated school nurse for both BGM Primary and Maranatha schools, while his father works as a sharecropper on a local farm. Despite their commitment and hard work, their income is limited, making it increasingly difficult to cover school tuition for all of their children.
As Edwens prepares to transition into BGM High School next year, the academic demands will increase significantly, leaving him less time to assist his family with daily work. This is why his family is seeking sponsorship—to ensure he can continue his education without interruption. Outside of school, Edwens enjoys working alongside his father in the garden, often waking early to help before attending classes in the afternoon. His favorite subject is mathematics, and he is already taking steps toward his future career goal of becoming a plumber by attending classes at the BGM professional school. With sponsorship support, Edwens will have the opportunity to focus on his studies and build a stable future, ultimately allowing him to support himself and give back to his family.
