Jonia was a quiet little five year old from Galette Chambon when she first entered the sponsorship program in 2018. Now she is a beautiful twelve year old who has made it to the seventh grade in BGM High School! She has done exceptionally well in school but if she does not get a new sponsor, she will have to drop out because her parent simply cannot afford to pay school tuition for her.
Jonia lives with her parents, three sisters, and two brothers. Her parents are farmers in the village and their income is not dependable which makes it completely difficult to pay for all of their children to go to school. Jonia loves to hang out with her friends and study her lessons. She absolutely loves school. Her favorite subject in school is French. When she grows up she wants to become a teacher.
