Davidson is a bright thirteen year old from the village of Galette Chambon. He lives with his parents, two sisters, and one brother. His mother is a vendor in the local market. His father is a farmer who brings home produce for his wife to sell at market. The family has found it very difficult to make ends meet in the current situation the country is in. They were able to scrape up enough to get Davidson registered for school, but they are very far behind on paying his tuition. He will not be able to continue school without a sponsor. Davidson enjoys studying lessons and going to the garden to help his father farm. His favorite subjects in school is French and Mathematics.
