Frantzchise is an eight-year-old girl in the third grade at Maranatha Primary School. She lives in the village of Galette Chambon with her parents, one sister, and three brothers. Her parents work as sharecroppers, helping plant and harvest crops in exchange for a portion of the harvest. The produce they keep helps feed their family, and they sell what they can at the local market. However, increasing insecurity has made it dangerous to travel to the market, and many days they are unable to sell their crops. As a result, their income has dropped significantly, and they can no longer afford Frantzchise’s school tuition.
Frantzchise is a cheerful young girl who loves spending time with her many friends in the village. They enjoy walking to school together each day, playing on the playground during school, and, after completing their chores at home, gathering to play together in the village.
Her favorite subject is French, and she dreams of one day becoming a French teacher at the local high school. With the gift of sponsorship, Frantzchise can continue her education and pursue the dream of helping future generations of students learn and succeed.
