Wilberlens is a happy little seven year old from the area called Place Charles in Galette Chambon. He lives with his single mom, two sisters, and four brothers. His mother is a vendor in the local market. She cannot afford to send all of her children to school. Wilberlens wants to go to school so bad, but his mother can only pay tuition for one of the children and Wilberlens is not the oldest, so it is not his turn. If he doesn’t get a sponsorship, he will have to sit out of school another three years before it will be his turn to go to school. Wilberlens enjoys studying lessons, doing homework, and sleeping. His favorite subject is French. He would love to learn to speak French one day. When he grows up, he wants to be a language teacher.
