Eftaïna is a happy and playful five year old from the village of Galette Chambon. She lives with her parents and four brothers. Her father is disabled and her mother tries to make money to support the family by selling things at market. Two of her brothers are sponsored and she and her other brother are looking to be sponsored. Their baby brother isn’t old enough to go to school yet. The family desperately wants their children to all be able to go to school, but the only way that will be possible is for them to be sponsored. Eftaïna enjoys playing with friends, singing at church – everywhere really – and sleeping. She feels safe when she snuggles up to her baby brother at night. When she grows up, she wants to become a nurse.
