Herline is a bright eighteen year old from the village of Galette Chambon who goes to our BGM High School. She lives with her parents, five sisters, and two brothers. Her mother is a vendor in the village who sells things like chips, popcorn, candy and such. Her father is a farmer who works long hours in the field trying to grow crops to sell at market. Although they do make some income, it’s clearly not enough to pay for their children’s school and take care of living expenses and family needs. If their children’s school was paid for, they wouldn’t have to worry about that large expense and they could probably even put back a little every month to plan for their older children’s college. Herline loves to play soccer with her friends and she loves to learn Spanish. When she finishes high school, she wants to go to school to become a nurse.
