Woodly is an eleven year old from the village of Gwo Balanse near Galette Chambon. He lives with his mother and two sisters and two brothers. He mother does not have a source of income other than selling the small amounts of produce her garden produces. It is barely enough to feed her family much less pay for their school. Pastor Johel has been letting Woodley go to school this year because we are looking for him a sponsor, but if he doesn’t find one by the end of September, he will probably have to drop out. He mother cannot afford to pay. When Woodley is not in school, he likes to study his lessons from school and play a little soccer with his brothers. He wants his older brother to teach him how to drive a moto so that maybe one day he can give people tap tap rides for money. His favorite subject in school is mathematics and when he grows up, he wants to be a moto driver.
