Monique is a hard working young lady from the little village of Ti Source near Galette Chambon. She lives with her parents, five sisters and four brothers. Her parents do not have jobs because neither of them were able to afford to go to school when they were younger, so they don’t really know how to do anything. Sometimes her father share crops in a garden, but there isn’t always work there. Monique is determined to be the first in her family to finish school and get a real job. She loves to read her Bible and study her subjects in school and play soccer. She is on the high school girls’ soccer team and she loves it! Her favorite subjects are English, French, and Experimental Science. When she finishes high school, she wants to go on to college to become a nurse or the director of a school.
