Lovens is a bright and determined three-year-old boy who attends BGM Preschool. He recently completed the K-2 program and is excited to begin K-3 this fall. He lives in the village of Galette Chambon with his father and his two older brothers.
Lovens’ father works as a vendor in the local market, selling small household items such as phone chargers, keychains, ropes, and other everyday necessities. He purchases these goods from a distributor in a nearby town and resells them at the market to support his family. In recent years, however, rising prices and illegal road taxes have made it increasingly difficult to earn enough income. Traveling to market has also become more dangerous, making it unsafe to bring his children with him. Lovens’ mother passed away while giving birth to their youngest child, leaving his father to lovingly care for and provide for all of his sons on his own.
When he is not at school, Lovens enjoys helping his father around the house. He likes preparing baskets of goods for the market and proudly helps with chores such as cleaning, washing, and even simple cooking. At school, his favorite subject is writing. He is excited to learn his ABCs, write his name, and eventually read and write words on his own. One day, Lovens hopes to become a doctor so he can care for others in his community, just as others have cared for him.
