FERLANDA is a 13-year-old student in the eighth grade at BGM High School. She lives in the village of Galette-Chambon with her father, her three sisters, and her brother. Since the passing of her mother seven years ago during childbirth, her father has faithfully raised the children on his own.
As the oldest child, Ferlanda carries a great deal of responsibility in the home. While her father works as a farmer to provide for the family, she takes care of the household and helps look after her younger siblings. Though she enjoys spending time with her friends when she can, much of her time is devoted to supporting her family.
Despite these challenges, Ferlanda is dedicated to her education. Her favorite subject is Informatique, where she enjoys learning about computers and technology. She is curious and motivated, especially when it comes to understanding how things work.
Ferlanda dreams of becoming a nurse one day so she can care for others in need. A sponsor would help ease the burden on her family and give her the opportunity to continue her education while she faithfully serves at home and works toward her future.
