Christianie is a determined young woman from the village of Galette Chambon, where she lives with her mother, two sisters, and two brothers. Although she has been out of school for several years, her desire to learn has never faded. She has continued to study on her own by borrowing books from friends and teaching herself at home.
Recently, Christianie took a placement test to see where she would fit if she returned to school—and she qualified for the 10th grade! This is an incredible accomplishment and shows her dedication and intelligence.
Christianie dreams of becoming a nurse one day. She loves helping her mother care for her younger siblings and often cooks, cleans, and does laundry for her family. She especially enjoys studying French and science, and she knows that continuing her education is the best way to create a better future for herself and her family.
