Anna Maira is a bright and joyful six-year-old who lives in the village of Galette-Chambon with her grandfather. Her parents passed away in a tragic truck accident when she was just two years old, and since then, her grandfather—a hardworking sharecropper—has lovingly cared for her. Though life has not been easy, their home is filled with love and hope.
Anna Maira enjoys playing with her friends and especially loves to sing. One of her favorite times of the week is going to church, where she can lift her voice with the other children. When she grows up, she dreams of becoming a nurse so she can help others.
Anna Maira hopes to start kindergarten at Maranatha School soon. Her grandfather works long days in the fields, and being in school will not only help her learn and grow but also keep her safe while he works. With support, Anna Maira can begin her education and continue building a brighter future for herself and her grandfather.
