Chedena is a determined and hardworking 20-year-old young woman from Kagwo, a small area near Galette Chambon, Haiti. She lives with her parents, her sister, and two brothers. Her parents are farmers who work tirelessly on a large piece of land and sell what they grow in the local market. But with the economy in crisis, it’s been harder than ever for the family to make ends meet.
Despite the challenges, Chedena’s parents have always done their best to support her education and are incredibly proud that she’s so close to graduating. This year, however, has been especially difficult, and even providing food for the family has become a struggle—making school fees feel out of reach. Still, they remain hopeful and grateful for sponsorship opportunities that can help lighten the burden while they continue working hard to keep their farm and market business going.
Chedena is a bright student who loves economics and dreams of becoming a nurse. At home, she’s always willing to help—washing clothes, cooking for her family, and fetching water from the local well. Her quiet strength, intelligence, and determination make her a remarkable young woman with a bright future ahead.
