Kenold is a very bright seventeen year old from the village of Galette Chambon who is in the 10th grade in our BGM High School. He has two sisters and they all live with their uncle because their parents were killed in gang violence two years ago. After his parents’ death, he dropped out of school because he and his siblings fled the village and were homeless until they found their uncle and asked to live with him. Their uncle is a mason who helps build houses. He has never had children before, so it has been difficult adjusting to suddenly having a family four to provide for. He does his best, but if Kenold had a sponsor, it would certainly help. Kenold is so smart. He has always made very good grades, and it was heartbreaking for him to get behind in school. While he was out of school, he and his siblings built a garden behind their uncle’s house and started working it every day to try to raise money by selling the produce to help out. He still works the garden in the mornings before going to school and his sisters take the produce to market during the day. Kenold’s favorite subject is mathematics and when he grows up, he wants to become an engineer.
