Djooby is a precious five year old from the village of Dal-Gwo near Galette Chambon. He lives with his aunt, sister, and brother. Their mother is no longer living and their aunt took them in. Djooby’s aunt is a farmer and she sells what produce she can at the market. She does not make enough money to support the three children she is responsible for. It was a really big thing to suddenly take on three children when she had none of her own. She needs for them to go to school every day so that she can go to market. Since Djooby is the youngest, if any of them have to sit out of school, it will be him. He will have to have a sponsor to continue school. Djooby enjoys playing with friends, going to church with his family, and studying lessons. His favorite thing about school is the time they spend dancing and singing. When he grows up, he wants to become a doctor.
