Sherlanda is a precious four year old in the K2 program sat Maranatha. She lives with her mother who is a vendor in the village of Bwa Jake near Galette Chambon. She has one older brother who is sponsored. Their mother wants desperately for her children to both go to school so she can work. It is too dangerous to take her Sherlanda to market with her, so she put her into the kindergarten program at Maranatha. She was able to pay the deposit, but has not been able to pay any more. If Sherlanda doesn’t get a sponsor, she won’t be able to continue with school. Sherlanda enjoys playing with friends and learning in school. Her favorite subjects in school is coloring and learning to write. When she grows up, she wants to become a nurse.
