Achleida is a sweet ten year old from the village of Galette Chambon who lives with her father, three sisters, and two brothers. Her mother died three years ago after childbirth. Her father is a teacher in one of the schools in the village. He doesn’t teach at the BGM schools and there are many months that he doesn’t get paid because the school has lost so much support that they can’t afford to pay their teachers. He has struggled to keep his children in school, so he decided to start moving them to BGM Primary as he is able to get sponsorships for them. Achleida enjoys doing homework, studying school lessons, and going to church. Her favorite subject in school is Kreyol, and when she grows up, she wants to become a nurse.
