Venord is a very bright five year old from the village of Galette Chambon who lives with his parents, five sisters, and one brother. His parents are farmers in the village who were never able to go to school. They want their children to be able to have better opportunities than they had growing up. One of the most important things they want for their children is an education. They are so thankful that BGM has a sponsorship program because God has used this program to answer their prayers for education for their children. Two of Venord’s sister and his brother are all sponsored. His younger sisters aren’t ready for school yet. Venord was able to start school last year after his parents paid his registration, but between the suffering economy and flooding, their income has not been what it should be this year. If Venord doesn’t get a sponsor, he will not be able to go back to school next year. Venord enjoys playing with friends, reading, and going to church. His favorite subject in school is learning to read, and when he grows up he wants to become an engineer.
