Saveline is a bright and beautiful ten year old from the village of Galette Chambon. She lives with her father, three sisters, and one brother. Her father used to work as a brick mason building houses, but he has not been able to work in a very long time because he has been sick. The family has survived only because members of the community help them. Two years ago, Saveline had to drop out of school to stay home with her father. She would love to be able to go back this Fall, but she won’t be able to without a sponsor. Saveline enjoys playing with friends, doing chores, going to church, and eating. Her favorite subject in school is mathematics, and when she grows up she want to study cosmetology.
