Markendy S.

Markendy is a bright and happy eight-year-old who lives in the village of Gallette Chambon with his uncle, one sister, and one brother. His uncle is a farmer on a large farm in the back of the village. Markendy had to move in with his uncle after his parents were killed in an auto accident. His uncle already had three children of his own, and he struggles to support them already. Now that Markendy and his siblings are living with their uncle, it is very difficult to support the family. Markendy is in the K3 class and our BGM preschool. He is hoping to be able to start first grade next year. However, he will not be able to continue school if he doesn’t have a sponsor. Markendy, enjoys playing with friends, going to church, and studying lessons, his favorite subject in school is math. When he grows up, he wants to learn to be a mason so he can help build houses.
