Kednaika is a timid four year old in our BGM Preschool program. This past year, she was in the K2 class. She lives with her mother and sister in the area called Kagwo near Galette Chambon. It is a very poor community that has little clean water available to them and the ground is not very fertile for farming. Her grandfather has always worked hard to try to grow a garden and her mother would take the produce to market to sell. However, with her grandfather getting older and more feeble it has become harder and harder for the family to make money to support themselves. It has become impossible to pay tuition for Kednaika’s mother to pay the tuition for her daughters to go to school. Kednaika enjoys, playing with her friends, going to church, and studying her lessons. She is happy that she has begun to learn to read and write in school. She wants to be able to continue going to school so that one day she can become a nurse.
