Esdrana is a bright eighth graders in our BGM High School. She is fourteen and she lives in the village of Coupet across the river from Galette Chambon. She lives with her adoptive mother, three sisters, and four brothers. Their parents were killed last year in an altercation with the gang that was attacking their village. Esdrana and her siblings ran for safety and crossed the river for safety. For two weeks, they slept in the bushes near the river to hide from attackers. Once things cleared up some, they went to see the damage done in their village. Their neighbor was there and she agreed to take the girls in to live with her. It was clear that their adoptive mother could not take on tuition for the five school age children in the family, so she asked them to go talk to the BGM administrator about getting into the sponsorship program. He agreed to let them all start school immediately and he would put them in the program to seek sponsorship. Esdrana is in desperate need of a sponsor in order to continue school. Esdrana enjoys working around the house, going to school, studying, and praying. She believes it was her prayers that protected her and her siblings from the evil that attacked their village. Her favorite subject in school is Bible and when she grows up, she wants to become a nurse.
