CHAMAIKA is a spunky little five year old in the BGM Preschool program. She live with her parents, two sisters, and one brother in the village of Gwo Balans. Her parents are vendors in the local market and they try hard to make money to support the family, but with the recent changes in the country and a horrible economy, their income has dropped dramatically. They have not been able to afford to pay tuition this year. If Chamaika is going to continue school next year, she will have to have a sponsor. Chamaika’s favorite thing to do is play with friends and her favorite subject in school is coloring. When she grows up, she wants to become a nurse.
