CHADELIE is is an amazing 17 year old young lady from the village of Bonet near Galette Chambon. She has finally made it to the 11th grade, and she is so excited to be so close to graduating. The past few years have been extremely difficult for Chadelie and her family. Last year, her village was attacked by a violent gang that killed many people and burned down hundreds of houses. She and her two sisters survived only because they were at school when the attack happened. She will never forget the horrors they discovered when they returned home from school that day. Her parents had managed to escape harm, but they lost their house and business. They moved in with friends in the village of Galette Chambon so that Chadelie and her sister could continue school. However, her parents had no way of making any income. They had a small market in their house in Bonet but it was all either stolen or burned. They could no longer afford to pay for school, so Chadelie had to sit out a year. She was allowed to return to school this year, but if she doesn’t get a sponsor by September, she will have to sit out again because her parents just cannot afford it. Chadelie loves school and she wants to become a secretary when she grows up. Her favorite subject in school is science, and she enjoys hanging out with friends, working, studying, eating, and sleeping.
