Sterline is a 7 year old at Maranatha school. She lives in the village of Galette Chambon with her mother, father, two sisters, and two brothers. Her other siblings are sponsored. She used to be in our sponsorship program, but she became malnourished and had to drop out to enter into an inpatient malnutrition program. Now that she is well enough to go back to school, her parents really need for her to have a sponsor. Her father is a farmer in the village, and he is allowed to keep some of the produce he gathers as a share cropper. Her mother then takes the produce to market to sell in order to support the family. It still is not enough to pay for school and feed the family too. They are so thankful for BGM Schools because they know their children are getting a healthy meal at school. Sterline loves playing with friends and studying her lessons. Her favorite subject is French. When she grows up, she wants to learn how to run her own business so that she can make money and provide goods to her community.

**Please note that each year, we depend on village volunteers whose understanding of the measuring process may create variations in accuracy. Often times, children do not know their age or birthday, and sometimes they measure smaller or larger because of illness. We do the best we can to give accurate updates, but there are cultural constraints that we cannot avoid. Also, these measurements were made in March of 2022. The child may or may not have promoted to the next grade by the 2022-2023 school year. Final exams had not been taken when the update was made.
