Wanshisena is a four year old in our BGM Preschool K2 class. She lives with her father in the village of Galette Chambon. Her mother died last year from complications of COVID. Her father is a mason and tries to find work in the village to support his baby girl, but he struggles to find work with the economy the way it is. He doesn’t have anyone to keep Wanshisena so that he can work, so he decided that if she can be in the BGM Kindergarten, he would have all morning to work while she is in school. However, because his work is unreliable he struggles to make even enough money to put food on their table. He is thankful for the chance to send Wanshisena to BGM school because he knows she will receive a good education and a hot meal as well. Most days that will be the only meal she will have because he can’t afford to even buy food. He is praying every day that she finds a sponsor and he is thankful to BGM for the opportunity.
