Carlson is a bright and energetic sixteen year old who lives in the village of Galette Chambon in an area called Plas Charles. He lives with his parents, one brother, and one sister, and several cousins. His father used to work in Hope Center clinic in admissions, and served on the leadership committee of BGM in Galette Chambon. However, in 2023, his father moved his family from the village for their safety, and he no longer receives a salary from BGM because he isn’t there. His father decided to seek a visa to the US to try to make money to support his family from here, and he has been able to do so somewhat, but it has not been easy to find work. When things settled down in Galette Chambon, Carlson and his mother and siblings returned to their home in Galette Chambon, but his father remains in the US trying to make money to support the family. He wants to return to Haiti and continue working for BGM, but it will cost a very large sum of money to do so, and he doesn’t make enough right now to be able to afford that.

Carlson is now an 11th grader at BGM High School. He is excited about going to BGM High School and would love to have a sponsor like many of his friends have. He works really hard in school and loves to study his lessons. He enjoys playing soccer with his friends when he’s not in school and his favorite subject is English. When he grows up, he would like to become a doctor and serve people in his community at Hope Center Clinic.
