Mylove is a bright eleven year old from the village of Ti Source near Galette Chambon. She lives with her parents, two sisters, and three brothers. Her parents do not have a dependable source of income. It takes Mylove and her siblings about an hour to walk to school each day from Ti Source. She usually ends up carrying her little brother most of the way because his little legs get so tired walking the distance to school. Mylove LOVES going to school, and she is so happy to be at Maranatha school. The principal at Maranatha agreed to let her go ahead and start school this year because her parents don’t want her to get behind in school. One of her siblings is already sponsored in school and she is hoping that she and her little brother will soon be sponsored too! They don’t have a dependable source of income, and they depend on the generosity of family and friends to help them provide for their children. They were all going to a school in Ti Source last year, but they just couldn’t afford to pay the tuition and the school told them they could not return if they didn’t pay. They had heard that not only does BGM have a very good school, but it also has a sponsorship program and the students all eat a hot meal every day. To this family, it is worth the walk! They are praying the Mylove gets a sponsor so that she can continue going to school.
