Sendy is a very bright twelve year old from the village of Bonnette who lives with her mother and four sisters. She and her twin sister Sendina are in the sixth grade at BGM Primary and Sendina is sponsored but Sendy is not. Sendy’s mother does not have a reliable source of income. She sometimes tries to sell things in the local market, but she doesn’t make enough money to feed her children and send them to school. She heard about BGM’s sponsorship program in Galette Chambon, and she believes that her prayers are being answered because God is making a way for her children to not only go to a good, Christian school but also eat a hot meal every day for free. That is a huge relief to her. Sendy loves to help her mother clean the house, wash dishes, and wash clothes. She also loves to study, eat, drink clean water, and bathe. Her favorite subject is French, and when she grows up, she wants to become a nurse.
