Stanley is a 5th grader at BGM Primary School. He is behind in school because his mother has not been able to afford to send him to school. The BGM schools are not extremely expensive like most other schools, and they allow students to make payments, so Stanley’s mother decided to send him. Stanley lives with his mother, two sisters, and one brother in the village of Galette Chambon. His mother does not have a consistent source of income, but from time to time she is able to find someone who will pay her to wash their clothes or clean their house and she uses that to support her family. She is comforted to know that Stanley can go to school at a good school and eat every day as well. She is praying, however, that he finds a sponsor so that she can use what little money she makes to feed her other kids and not have to use it to pay for school. She is so thankful for the opportunity for Stanley to go to school and if he gets a sponsor, she knows that he will finish. Stanley’s favorite subject is social science and he enjoys studying his lessons, playing soccer with friends, going to church with his family, praying, and eating. When he grows up, he wants to become a lawyer.
