Jean (prounounced “Jon”) is a 4th grader at our BGM Primary School. He lives in Hope Center village with his mother, five sisters, and three brothers. They do not have a dependable source of income, so the family struggles desperately to make ends meet. Having the children in school is a huge help for mom because there are many days when the meal they get at school is the only meal they get all day. Jean loves studying his lessons, especially mathematics. When he grows up, he wants to be a chauffeur driving a tap tap because he knows that is a dependable source of income and he can help his mom care for the rest of the family.
