Angeline is a 5th grader at BGM’s Maranatha school. She is 14 and she lives with her mother, four sisters, and two brothers in the village of Galette Chambon. Her mother does not have a consistent source of income, so the family is dependent on aunts and uncles to try to make ends meet. Angeline loves school and wants to be able to continue going to school so that she can one day become a teacher. Her favorite subject is Experimental Science and in her free time she enjoys doing homework, playing with friends, and helping wash dishes and clean house. Angeline has been on the sponsorship page for a very long time waiting to be sponsored. At one time, someone sponsored her, and then later there was some confusion and the sponsor ended up choosing a different child. We had already told Angeline that she was sponsored. We have not yet told her or her mother about the confusion. We really pray that someone will choose her soon so that we don’t have to disappoint her and concern her mother with the loss of sponsorship. Please, please pray about sponsoring Angeline.

**Please note that each year, we depend on village volunteers whose understanding of the measuring process may create variations in accuracy. Often times, children do not know their age or birthday, and sometimes they measure smaller or larger because of illness. We do the best we can to give accurate updates, but there are cultural constraints that we cannot avoid. Also, these measurements were made in March of 2022. The child may or may not have promoted to the next grade by the 2022-2023 school year. Final exams had not been taken when the update was made. You can assume that the child will move on to the next grade up, but it is not guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.
