Miveline (prounounced MEEV-LEEN) is a feisty little four year old from the village of Galette Chambon. She is an only child and lives with her mother, aunt and uncle, and cousins in a house that BGM built for her cousins. Her father was saved at Hope Center five years ago right before she was born. His whole personality changed and he absolutely loves his family. Life is hard in Haiti, however, and many fathers are unable to find sustainable work to support their families. Miveline’s daddy decided that moving to Brazil to find work is what he must do so that he can support his family. They miss one another very much, and they talk on WhatsApp every day, but her daddy has not been able to find a very good job. He does find temporary work from time to time, but supporting his family has been really hard. Miveline’s mother is a Christian and she stays at home with Miveline and helps her sister-in-law take care of the children and the house. Miveline loves to sing, exercise, talk, and play with her friends. She doesn’t know what she wants to be when she grows up, but she knows if she has to talk to work, she will be good at it. 🙂

We do the best we can to give accurate updates, but there are cultural constraints that we cannot avoid. Also, these measurements were made in March of 2022. The child may or may not have promoted to the next grade by the 2022-2023 school year. Final exams had not been taken when the update was made.
