Wasger is a bright and happy little four year old from the village of Galette Chambon. He lives with his mother, brother, and three sisters in a small tin shack near Hope Center. His mother is almost completely deaf and she has no source of income. They depend completely on God for provision and the generosity of other family members who live nearby. Sometimes his mother makes a little money by working in a local garden. Wasger loves to go to the garden with his mother and help her work. Wasger was able to go to school this year because his family sold a goat, but they don’t have any more goats to sell for him to pay for school next year. His favorite thing to do in school is color and he doesn’t know yet what he wants to be when he grows up.
