Sendy is a fourteen year old boy that lives in the village of Bo Plas in the zone of Galette Chambon. He lives with his mother, father, sister, and five brothers. Their father is a share cropper for a local farmer and their mother does not have a source of income. They also try to raise a few goats to help them pay for more costly items like school. One goat does not pay all of the tuition for one child to go to school, much less six! Some years the goats get sick and die or will not sell at market. When that happens, none of the children can go to school. It is hard not knowing whether or not you will be able to afford to go to school each year. Sendy loves school, and he wants to be an engineer one day and build large buildings in Port au Prince. In his free time, Sendy enjoys playing soccer with friends, studying, eating, and helping his dad in the fields. His favorite subject is science. He is very grateful for the chance to find a sponsor because he likes the idea that someone is praying for him and that he doesn’t have to worry about whether or not he can continue school. Thank you for this opportunity.
