Modeline is a young lady in the ninth grade in our BGM High School who loves to laugh and hang with her friends. She lives with her mother, father, sister, and four brothers. Her father is the director of a small, village elementary school, and her mother sells items in the local market. Although her father has a job in a school, the school is not supported by any organization, therefore, the school does not have much money to function. Her father usually goes without being paid so that he can pay his teachers with what little money the school can bring in with tuition. It’s definitely not enough to be able to send six kids to school. Modeline works hard to help her mother sell in the market whenever she can, and she saves back some of the money in a jar over the summer so that she can help her parents pay her tuition. Now that all of her siblings are in school, however, it is harder to afford to pay. Modeline enjoys studying Spanish because it makes her feel smart to learn another language. She hopes to be able to speak five languages one day. She also thinks she might like to study medicine in college and become a doctor. She hasn’t decided for sure yet.
