Lovitson is a happy little second grader who lives with his aunt & uncle, three sisters, and four brothers and several cousins in the village of Cargo near Galette Chambon. All of his siblings have sponsors except him. The family tries to farm for a living, but it is difficult to make enough money to feed everyone. The recent draught has made it even more difficult to make ends meet. Lovitson wants a sponsor not only so that he can go to school without worrying how his parents will pay for it, but also so that he can know that someone in the US is praying for him and loves him too just like his siblings. He is praying that this will be the year he finds a sponsor!
