Djemsley is a bright ten year old from the village of Galette Chambon who lives with his mother, father, three sisters, and one brother. His mother is a vendor at the local market and his father is a mason. Djemsley loves to help his father work on houses when he’s not in school. He is hoping that as he grows older, he can learn how to build houses too so that he can make money to pay for college one day. He wants to be a lawyer when he grows up! He loves mathematics and reading. He wants a sponsor so that his parents can afford to send his siblings to school. They were able to send Djemsley to school this year, but they could not afford to buy a uniform. That is why he has on the school t-shirt in his school picture instead of a uniform. He wants to be able to go to school and have a uniform and books just like all the sponsored kids. Then maybe his dad can help him save up money for college one day too!
