Ritha is a bright fifteen year old from the village of Dalgros near Galette Chambon. She lives with her mother, father and sister. Her mother is a vendor in the village and her father is a farmer. She loves school very much, and she is so proud of how much her school has changed in the last few years. She loves her classmates, and she loves her teachers. Her favorite subject in school is French, and when she grows up, she wants to become a nurse so she can help people. Her favorite things to do are study, eat, sleep, and take lessons in cooking when she has summer break. The main reason she wants a sponsor is so her parents can save their money for her college. She is determined to go to college, but she knows her parents can’t afford it. If they could save the money they would normally pay for her school, she would have a good start in college once she graduates. She is so thankful for this opportunity to be sponsored.

**Please note that each year, we depend on village volunteers whose understanding of the measuring process may create variations in accuracy. Often times, children do not know their age or birthday, and sometimes they measure smaller or larger because of illness. We do the best we can to give accurate updates, but there are cultural constraints that we cannot avoid. Also, these measurements were made in March of 2022. The child may or may not have promoted to the next grade by the 2022-2023 school year. Final exams had not been taken when the update was made. You can assume that the child will move on to the next grade up, but it is not guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.
