Kimberly is a precious 9 year old girl from Galette Chambon who is one of 8 children in the Dorlus family. All of her other siblings have been sponsored. She, too, has been sponsored for the last two years, but she recently lost her sponsor. She has not gotten her uniform for the 2019-2020 school year because she lost er sponsorship before school started. Right now she is wearing the t-shirt that all students get, but she just doesn’t understand why she isn’t getting a uniform for this school year. It makes her very sad. Kimberly comes from a great family, and her parents are hard workers, but they just don’t make enough money to support a family of ten! Her father is a share cropper farmer and her mother cooks. Currently , however, both of them are without work. Her father is the one who dug the holes to install the flag poles at both schools this year. He was thrilled to have the work, but it was temporary. We really need to find a sponsor for Kimberly soon. When Kimberly is not in school, she loves to play with her puppy. She wishes he would stay little forever. She loves to study all subjects in school, so she really doesn’t have one favorite. When she grows up, she wants to become a nurse!
