Nadine is a very smart seventeen year old from Galette Chambon. She lives with her parents, six brothers, and two sisters. Her youngest sister is 3 and her oldest brother is 25. She loves that she has a very large family but it makes life very difficult for them because her parents do not have jobs. Her two older brothers drive moto taxis to try to make money for the family and her father sometimes share crops in a garden when he is healthy. He has high blood pressure though, so he is not able to work all the time. Nadine’s favorite thing to do when she is not in school is tutor younger students who go to the elementary school. Her favorite subject in school is Biology and when she grows up she wants to either be a teacher or a nurse.
