Schnaydine is a fifteen year old from the village of Michel near Galette Chambon. She lives with her parents and two sisters and two brothers. Her parents are unemployed. Schnaydine dreams of finishing school so that she can become a nurse. No one in her family has ever finished school, much less gone to college! She is determined to be the first. She says she understands the need to become educated so that you can get a job to support your family. Her favorite subjects in school are biology, science, and social studies. When she is not in school, she likes to study her lessons from the year before so that she doesn’t forget anything when school starts again in August. She is grateful for the opportunity to go to school this year, and she is praying that she will find a sponsor so that she can continue next year.
