Lutchina is the daughter of one of our local pastors that passed away in 2020. Her father was also the principal of one of our sponsored elementary schools. Lutchina was a spunky little 8 year old when she first entered the sponsorship program. She is now a student at our BGM High School and doing very well. She enjoys singing in church and helping her mother around the house. She lives with her mother, three sisters, and three brothers in the village of Cargo near Galette Chambon. She has one brother and one sister who are in the high school and her oldest brother has gone to Brazil to go to school. Ever since her father died, the family has had to rely on funds sent from the son in Brazil for income, it is very hard to support a family with what little the son is able to send. Lutchina recently lost her sponsorship and she needs a new sponsor to continue school.

The child may or may not have promoted to the next grade by the 2022-2023 school year. Final exams had not been taken when the update was made.
