Emmanuella is a lively young fourteen year old who is in the 7^th grade at our BGM school. She is also an English student in Frantz’s BGM English class. Emmanuella lives in the area of Place Charles in Galette Chambon with her sister and two brothers and both parents. Her parents do not have jobs and they often struggle to provide food for their families. Her older brother became a moto tap tap driver to provide some income for the family, but it isn’t much. In her free time, Emmanuella loves to cook, study, bathe, and sleep. Her favorite subject of all in school is English, but she also likes Science and Social Studies. Emmanuella wants to be a doctor when she grows up, and she knows that if she learns English it will better her chances of being able to find a job. She is excited about the fact that she can even dream of becoming a doctor. There was a time when she wasn’t even sure if she would be able to finish high school. However, now that there is a sponsorship program, Emmanuella knows that she will one day no longer have to worry about how she will be able to go to school and she WILL be able to follow her dreams.
