Daphelle is a 17 year old girl that lives in a village called Gros Balance near Galette Chambon. She has one brother and six sisters and they all live with their father who is a farmer. Daphelle loves to read and she reads as much as she can in her Bible when she isn’t busy helping her father with her siblings. She says that mathematics is her favorite subject, but she like science too. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up, so enjoying these two subjects will be an advantage. She says her favorite thing about her country of Haiti is the beautiful flowers. She prays every day that she will be able to stay in school because she knows that she will be a good nurse if she is given a chance to prove herself.
